Mickey Charles Mantle entered the major leagues in 1951 and spent his entire 18 year career with the New York Yankees. Mickey Mantle's rookie card is one of the most sought after baseball cards ever.

Topps didn't start making baseball cards until 1952. Most people are familiar with his 1952 Topps rookie card [card #311 in the set], but in 1951 Bowman issued what is considered by collectors his "true" rookie card. It is card #253 in the set.

Presented here is a beautiful example of a 1951 Bowman Mickey Mantle rookie card. It's nicely centered with strong corners that exhibit only minor wear. The printing quality is exceptional, with none of the usual distracting black lines. The artwork is clean and boldly colored. And the card retains an unbroken layer of original gloss. Probably the most attractive Mantle rookie I've ever seen in a NM 7 holder.
