This is an extremely clean charcoal and white plastic Zenith tube radio, model Y513, which looks beautiful and plays great. The design of this radio reflects Zenith's efforts to achieve a modern "Machine Age" look without offending its traditional customers. Zenith moved to a more radical (for Zenith) design approach later in the 1950s and early 1960s with more streamlined "Jet Age" cabinets.

This radio has been restored electronically. All tubes, capacitors and resistors have been checked and replaced if necessary. It has its original back and factory label with model number and tube layout; it has an internal antenna and plays with unusually good fidelity, picking up stations clearly across the dial without any hum.
